This beautiful historically significant home was originally built in 1936 by Robert Tyre Jones, half-brother of famed golfer Bobby Jones. The Jones family started and ran the Canton Cotton Mill, which was the largest producer of denim in the country. All wood for the house and all of its moldings were milled in Mississippi specifically for use in the particular home. The main residence was originally part of a much larger estate, but now rests on 8.57 lushly landscaped and wooded acres. A portion of the property is adjacent to Brown’s Farm Road, which led to a neighbor’s home – Governor Brown – the first Governor of Georgia.
